How you can support the work of our Parish

How to give

You can donate to the work of St Mary’s Church, as a one-off or on a regular basis, by clicking the button at the foot of this page. It will take you to the Church of England approved Parish Giving Scheme.

Why give?

St Mary’s is a charity which receives no funding from the government and is dependent on donations and fees to keep operating. â€‹â€‹The Church exists primarily to worship God and share the Good News of Jesus Christ, through prayer, praise, and service to our community and the world.

Who benefits?

We are there for people at the biggest moments of their lives, from the celebration of a new-born child, through marriage and family life, offering support and friendship, as well as visiting the sick, burying the dead, and offering consolation and care in the harder times of life.

Community based?

Across the Diocese, the Church of England operates in every community – the most deprived as well as the most affluent – running schools, food banks, homelessness projects, charity fundraisers, and support for the elderly and isolated, amongst many others. Your donation will allow us to continue our work, within the parish and across the Anglican Diocese of Leeds.

Gift Aid

If you’re a UK taxpayer and haven’t yet made a Gift Aid declaration, you can increase the value of your donation by 25%.
