News from our parish 

This summer we have enjoyed two Messy Church sessions; one at St George's and one in the Vicarage grounds at St Mary's. We welcomed children and their families to celebrate God's wonderful world. We made a creation bauble to remind us of God making our world and designed an insect using leaves and twigs and then all contributed to a big picture showing our favourite flowers, trees and animals. We ended our time together singing 'If I was a butterfly', thanking God for the wo

Scaffolding is now up in church. The roofers have been up on ropes, assessing the condition of the ceiling and roof. We are awaiting reports on our next steps .

A rare sight: St Mary's Church, Honley, empty of seats. It's ready for scaffolding to be erected for ceiling repairs. Consequently, no services or events will be held until the plaster repairs are finished. We'll post again when we have a date for the end of the work, probably in about a month. Meanwhile, we are worshipping on a Sunday morning at 11 a.m. at our sister church, St George's in Brockholes . Come and join us! If you need to speak to the vicar, please contact Anna
